Yoga is one of the most beneficial complimentary therapies for neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. In this positive, motivated, and fun yoga class, we’ll work on coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, motion, and cognitive issues. We’ll also explore yoga principles and how the integration of the body, breath, and mind can reduce stress levels and enhance overall health and quality of life.
Prerequisite: Therapeutic Yoga honors the uniqueness and potential of each individual. Everyone will have different priorities and a different level of ability and comfort when it comes to the various yoga poses. For this reason, we have established a prerequisite one-on-one consultation with your instructor for those interested in signing up for this course. The consultation will allow Jolyn to assess and address your specific needs in a private setting.
