Description
Distal Point acupuncture uses almost exclusively acupoints that are far from the areas of pain or dysfunction. These distal acupoint locations influence specific “reaction areas” by restoring the flow of qi and blood. The benefits of this style are many, including rapid pain relief verifiable during treatment, few needles (usually 10 or less), and no additional trauma to to site of pain. As Dr. Miriam Lee says, “When the baby is crying, we don’t spank him.”
This class will introduce the basic theories of Distal Point Acupuncture and present several case studies including back pain, sciatica, headache, knee pain, and neuropathy.
