If you’ve been interested in meditation with no idea how to start, or perhaps someone has suggested it to you, this is the class for you! Meditation can be intimidating if you’ve never done it before and it’s hard to begin on your own in a quiet room. It’s helpful to have a guide and a supportive group with whom to practice.
This class will review and practice multiple forms of Mindfulness meditation including meditation of breath, body, and Loving Kindness. We’ll talk about the many ways to meditate including sitting and walking meditation. In addition, we’ll discuss the basics of how to meditate and a bit of the research being done today on meditation. Most importantly, we’ll always have a Q&A section where we can talk about what’s working or not working for you.
This class is taught in a secular way and the focus is on how the meditation supports you in your everyday life.
