Description
If you’re feeling wound up, tense, or simply worn down by the pace of daily life, Yin Yoga offers a way back to yourself. This quiet, restorative practice slows everything down, calming the nervous system, easing chronic tension, and creating the kind of deep rest that active movement alone can’t reach.
Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga, Yin works into the connective tissues, ligaments, joints, and fascia rather than the muscles. Poses are supported and held for 3 to 10 minutes, giving your body time to truly release and your mind time to settle. Many students find that this stillness improves flexibility and joint mobility over time, reduces stress and anxiety, and supports better sleep, benefits that build with regular practice.
Our modern lives run on yang energy: movement, productivity, and constant stimulation. Yin is the counterbalance. It’s a chance to pause, soften, and simply be, and that intentional slowing down can carry into the rest of your week as more clarity, patience, and ease.
This class is accessible to all levels and abilities. We use supportive props throughout to help you find comfort and proper alignment, so no experience or flexibility is required to benefit. Whether you’re looking to complement a more active practice, release tension you’ve been carrying, manage stress, or simply give yourself permission to rest, Yin Yoga meets you exactly where you are.
