Heroes Therapeutic Outreach Program

Heroes Therapeutic Outreach Program

Heroes Meditate and do YogaThe Heroes Therapeutic Outreach Program (HTOP) is a program for Veterans, their Families, and Caregivers developed by the Learning Center at Red Willow.

This program is designed to provide services that augment what is already being provided, filling a gap in available services for the veteran community. The Mind/Body modalities utilized in the HTOP programming help address the high incidence of depression, feelings of isolation, and the difficulties of readjustment to civilian life. We are happy to offer these programs at no cost to the participants.

The Heroes Therapeutic Outreach Program has two primary components:

  • Off-Site Courses
  • Quarterly & Ongoing Classes

Off-Site Courses are a collection of Veterans-Only Mind/Body Classes offered in partnership with either the Missoula Vet Center or UM Veterans (these courses are limited to student veterans). Courses include Resilience Training, T’ai Chi, Meditation, and Restorative Yoga.

Quarterly and Ongoing Classes are the classes on the regular Learning Center schedule. All of our regularly-scheduled courses offered on a quarterly or ongoing basis are also available to HTOP participants at no cost.
